Buckie came from behind to edge past Deveronvale at Davidson Park and advance to the semi-finals of the Aberdeenshire Cup.
Two superb goals from Jamie MacLellan put Vale in command early on, only for Jags to roar back with strikes from Max Barry, Joe McCabe and Lyall Keir to earn a trip to Fraserburgh in the last four.
Andy MacAskill tested Sean McIntosh early on with a blistering drive from 22 yards, the Vale number one plunging to his left to parry the ball clear.
Vale took the lead eight minutes in, a great delivery from Jayden Goldie from the right headed firmly high past Euan Storrier by Jamie MacLellan.
‘Home’ defender Kyle Dalling then pulled up with an injury and was replaced by Jaydan Bradford.
MacLellan made it two with an even better finish on 23 minutes, picking up a loose ball in midfield and looping a tremendous shot into the top right corner from 25 yards.
Buckie reduced the deficit six minutes later, Max Barry showing outstanding technique to crash a volley high into the net from 16 yards after a corner was only partially cleared by the Vale defence.
MacAskill was then denied an equaliser by a great block by Bradford, after Liam Harvey had got in down the right flank and squared the ball beyond the advancing McIntosh.
It remained 2-1 to the hosts at the break, with Buckie starting the second half on the front foot looking for the equaliser.
Jack MacIver came close with a long range strike that was deflected over the bar on the hour mark.
Six minutes later, Jack Murray did well to turn in the penalty area and fire the ball across goal for Joe McCabe to slide in and poke the ball home from six yards to make it two each.
MacIver was denied by another crucial block by Aaron Hamilton as he drove his shot beyond McIntosh from 15 yards.
The Jags number 18 was then played through by MacAskill, but his close range effort was deflected for a corner by the Vale back line.
The winner came from another corner five minutes from time, the ball falling at the feet of substitute Keir and he fired high into the net from ten yards.
A good comeback from The Jags after Deveronvale raced into an early two-goal lead, important to bounce back after Saturday’s disappointing defeat at Nairn.
Back to league business on Saturday with a ‘home’ fixture against Rothes at Princess Royal Park in Banff.
