Buckie Thistle recorded their second victory in just 48 hours with an excellent 2-0 win over Brora Rangers at Grant Park.
Goals from joint top goalscorers Josh Peters and Jack Murray gave the 'home' side all three points, taking them above Banks o' Dee into third place in the league table.
Boss Graeme Stewart shuffled his pack, with Ryan Fyffe, Hamish Munro, Jack MacIver, Andrew MacAskill and Josh Peters returning to the starting eleven.
Brora midfielder Ali Sutherland made a good run forward on three minutes, but his shot was deflected wide for a corner by Joe McCabe.
At the other end Jack MacIver got a cross in from the left that was turned wide at the near post by Josh Peters.
Andrew MacAskill then curled an excellent cross to the back post on 15 minutes, where McCabe attacked it well but his header was blocked behind for a corner by Colin Williamson.
Buckie took the lead in the 24th minute, Max Barry taking a short corner from MacIver, turning inside and curling a superb cross in for Peters to volley high into the net at the near post.
Peters almost grabbed a quick second, racing onto MacAskill’s through pass only to be denied by a fine block from the advancing Logan Ross.
Tony Dingwall had a tame effort straight at Tom Ritchie just before the break, then at the other end Keir looped a header straight at Ross in the Brora goal.
Peters missed a great chance to make it two in the 48th minute, blasting over the crossbar when clean through after Colin Williamson misjudged a long pass.
Keir then just failed to get on the end of a low Peters cross, before Keir was denied again by Ross from close in.
The young Thistle winger then got down the left flank and from his cutback, MacAskill’s goal bound shot was blocked and Peters’ blistering strike from the rebound cannoned off the chest of Ross from eight yards.
Alex Cooper curled a free kick well over from a good position just 20 yards out on 70 minutes.
Dale Wood and Scott Adams replaced Jack MacIver and Josh Peters for the home side a minute later.
Brora were probing for an equaliser and Martin Maclean fired a low effort straight at Ritchie when in space on the left of the penalty area.
Barry then showed superb skill to create space for himself, but his drive was blocked from 25 yards.
Ritchie did well to grab a free kick as it dropped into the six-yard box from a Gillespie free kick, while at the other end substitute Scott Adams made space for himself before firing a decent strike just over the crossbar from 22 yards.
Buckie finally grabbed a crucial second when Murray was fouled in the box by Mark Nicolson from a corner, Murray dusting himself down to slam the spot kick into the bottom left corner of the net.
McCabe came close to a third late on with a soaring header from MacAskill’s corner that went narrowly over the bar.
The match ended in another vital victory for the Jags, who now face their third game in five days with the visit of local rivals Deveronvale on Saturday.
