Both sides are defending unbeaten league records with Jags on top of the table on 13 points, three ahead of the chasing pack of five clubs on 10 points, including today's visitors. Banks o' Dee, Huntly and Brechin City all have a game in hand of Buckie at the top.
Last weekends action saw Buckie progress to the Quarter-Finals of the Highland League Cup with a comfortable home victory over Turriff United, thanks to goals from Darryl McHardy, Marcus Goodall, Jack Murray and Josh Peters. Huntly had a free week so will come into this one fresh from a two-week break, their last outing being an excellent 3-2 win over Inverurie Locos at Harlaw Park.
Last season saw Jags win the corresponding home fixture 2-0. almost a year to the day on 3rd September 2022. Andrew MacAskill scoring twice to give the home side all three points.
The points were shared at Christie Park in late January, Andy Hunter putting Huntly ahead early on, before Scott Adams equalised early in the second half.
Jags will be along the same lines as last weekend against Turriff, with Joe McCabe, Kevin Fraser and Shaun Wood all out injured. Zander Jack misses out for the visitors, while Lewis Crosbie is doubtful and will have a late fitness test. Recent signing Isaac Evans could be involved, the 19-year-old has joined the Christie Park men after spending three years at West Ham.
